EuroSpine, the Spine Society of Europe (SSE)

Founded: June 26, 1998 in Innsbruck, Austria, the SSE originated from the  formally known  European Spine Society (ESS) (1991) and from  European Spinal Deformity Society (1982).

For years, EuroSpine, the Spine Society of Europe (SSE) has initiated the task to assess Health Technologies, to educate health personal and patients in spinal pathologies and to discuss strategies of great importance.

The aims of EuroSpine are to stimulate the exchange of knowledge and ideas in the field of research, prevention and treatment of spine diseases and related problems and to coordinate efforts undertaken in European countries for further development in this field.  Dedicated SSE committees are in charge to reach the aims of the Society.

SSE is a non-profit scientific society open to medical doctors and other professionals who are engaged in research or management of the prevention and treatment of spinal disorders.  SSE stimulates and offers a forum for the exchange of knowledge and ideas in the field of research, prevention and treatment of all spinal disorders and deformities as well as their related problems.  Today, the SSE counts 546 Spine Specialists Members and key opinion leaders.
