
Beyond the standards of educational programs (European Spine Diploma and accreditation delivered by the EACCME), the goals of setting standards must be to improve the quality of patient care.

This European Education Plan template addresses the needs to train coming spine specialists but also existing specialists with the opportunity to create international interactions and networks between Health Care professionals focusing on spine.

The scaffold of each diploma course module is based on:
- A clear list of lecture all presented with English slide support.
- Key Messages related to each lecture topics. These key messages are the vectors guarantying the Diploma Curriculum Standard Content hence a high level of consistency. They are also the reference to appreciate the participant proficiency at the end of each course though a Quiz examination.
- Core Slides including Key Messages are provided to the faculty and must be presented as such on a EuroSpine Template.

Every participant receives pre-learning material and is provided with additional material at the course for immediate use or future referencing. This Diploma Course Structure is a standard to ensure consistent quality to the delegates entering the European Spine Course Diploma.

Open Operating Theater is a web-based film library intended to cover eventually all classic spine surgeries. The surgeries are performed by renowned surgeons on invitation of the Editor-in-Chief of the European Spine Journal and in collaboration with the Medical Industry.
Some of these films are used as a support for case discussions.

Major Medical Technology Companies are invited to technically and financially contribute to the workshop part of the European Spine Course Diploma delivered in 2012.
