Diploma: Med Tech contribution

There is  a dedicated space for each Med Tech Company to deliver technical information; workshops are an integral part of the program.

Workshop Case

The workshop topics are pre-defined as a standard to guarantee a good match with each program.  Workshop time is approximately 50 minutes in small groups of delegates, as detailed in the course curriculum.

Each workshop includes a surgical case presented either on OOT support (Open Operating Theater) or by the faculty on visual support  with discussion of :

  • Indications
  • Surgical technique
  • Clinical outcome
  • Technical options

Hands on

The role of the Med Tech is to provide a wider spectrum of their technical solutions related to the workshop topic.

Each surgeon should have the opportunity to practice different surgical techniques.

There will be as much time as possible allocated before and after every course or during breaks, to practice at will.

Handouts

Each Med Tech is kindly asked to prepare one file with hard copies of what will be presented and additional relevant information – DVDs can be provided too.  This material must be provided to the EuroSpine Foundation before the course for review.  One file can be provided to each participant as an integral part of their training binder.  Only the products relevant to the topic must be presented.

No gifts or irrelevant advertising must be given during the courses to respect the independent academic profile of the European Spine Courses.
