European Spine Diploma

This above template has been promoted and communicated in 2010 to over 20 National Spine societies and European Societies with focus on spine; it has been generally well received.

Setting a standard education template is necessary to deliver consistent quality courses throughout Europe.

After successfully completing all 5 diploma modules, the spine specialist receives a “European Spine Course Diploma”.

After successfully completing the Fellowship program, the spine specialist receives a "European Spine Fellowship".

European Spine Diploma Target groups

Surgical targets:

  • Physicians including the last year residents of the relevant medical specialties, intending to acquire basic knowledge on the evaluation of spinal disorders – disease processes, skills emergency approach to disorders of the spinal column,
  • Other orthopedic or neurosurgeons desiring specializing in spine surgery.

Non-Surgical targets:

  • Other spine specialists desiring specializing in spine,
  • To be further defined by the non-surgical task force group.
