European Spine Fellowship: Objective

The objective is to expose these candidates to the clinical evaluation and diagnosis in patients with spine disorders to learn and gain experience in invasive test, practice in doing spinal diagnostics and to attend a reasonable spectrum in spine surgeries as first assistant or as executing surgeon under supervision of an experienced spine surgeon. In addition, these candidates need to be exposed to multidisciplinary dialogues with radiologists, radiologists, neurologists, oncologists rehab and pain doctors to

 

better serve the integrity of the patient. The candidates should be evaluated not less than every 6 months to monitor their progress and to identify possible weaknesses of the fellowship program as part of quality assurance. The candidates must fill in a log book about the interventions executed in their fellowship. This log book must be presented to the Funders (EuroSpine, the Spine Society of Europe (SSE), the EuroSpine Foundation (ESF), Med Tech industries…). At the end of the fellowship, the candidates

 

should receive a Diploma approved by EuroSpine Foundation and the candidates should provide a structured assessment of the fellowship (the pupils also certify the teacher).
