Requirements towards the fellows

  • Finished post graduate education and training in orthopedic surgery or neurosurgery.
  • Genuine interest to specialize in spinal surgery.
  • Have taken the Basic course (1st module European Spine Diploma).
  • Must complete the 5 modules before receiving the European Spine Fellowship Diploma.
  • Every fellow must be able to professionally communicate in English and whenever possible speak the local language.
  • The fellow is willing to work for a salary which is set by the ESF and may not be in line with the local salaries: foreseen gross salary in the range of 60K€ gross / year paid by the EuroSpine Foundation to the Training Center. (this includes taxes for personnal insurance so that the real salary is around 40K€/year)
  • Lodging is the responsibility of the fellow.
  • Fellow cannot be sponsored twice for the same purpose – case per case basis must be disclosed and addressed by the ESF.
  • Application forms should go to the ESF which will screen the process and transfer proper applications to the Edu Com.
